The choice of one-day races will not be available for the next Bike Odyssey!
Athletes who are interested for the long-awaited mtb event of 2018 will have to move fast and organize their plan for the next season! Three-day races, 3-Day North Odyssey and 3-Day South, that will take place along with the main race (8-day), are a first-rate opportunity to test your strengths and to get a taste of the toughest mtb race in Greece!
Yesterday on Sunday 26.06.2017 in the city of Nafpaktos the curtain fell for the Bike Odyssey 2017. The unique for Greek standards mtb race started from Smixi of Grevena and passed from Metsovo, Pyrli of Trikala, Neochori of Plastira Lake, Krikello of Evritania, Ath. Diakos of Fokida, Ano Chora of Nafpaktia, traveling about 620km in 8 days with 19,800 altitude differences to finish at Nafpaktos.
On Saturday 24.06.2017 the 7th stage of the race was held from Athanasios Diakos to Ano Chora. As the race goes down, the temperature rises. Cyclists had to face a stage where the downhill parts were roughly equal with the uphill parts and the opportunity το admire the view of Mornos Lake.
Yesterday on 23.06.2017 finished in Ath. Diakos the 6th stage of the race. The athletes started from Krikello to travel a distance of 90km, to cross Vardousia and finally reach the village. A demanding stage that brought surprises to the athletes' ranking.
The 5th stage was completed yesterday 22.06.2016 and consisted of only 32 km in the wider Krikello area. The weather was good and the start was given at 11:30. The stage went fast and after 1:30 hour we had the first finish.

Yesterday on 22.06.2017 was held the 4th Stage of Neochori-Krikello, which is traditionally the most difficult stage of the race. The weather was good but it was hot enough to make the athletes effort harder.
“Ekstratis” and “Heroes and Zeros” are the first two teams that completed the 4th stage of “Bike Odyssey” race. The team of Papasavvas Michael and Orfanoudakis Kostas (Ekstratis) crossed the finish line at the beautiful village of Krikello with total time of 06:18:12 . Tsoulouhas George & Dudek Bo (Heroes&Zeros) followed after a few minutes completing the 4th stage in 06:31:37. The following teams have also successfully completed the stage:

The third stage of the race was completed yesterday, ending in Neohori and with it was completed the 3-Days North Odyssey! It was a relatively small stage but with many altitudes that combined with the hot day turned out to be demanding for athletes! Of course the beauty of the landscape and the view of Lake Plastiras compensated everyone for their effort.
On Sunday, June 18, the first stage of Bike Odyssey was launched for 2017, both for the 8-day race and for the northern 3 day, from Smixi of Grevena to reach the city of Metsovo. The weather was ideal for the teams to start the race and although the first stage is always an identifier for the athletes we started to take a picture of their dynamics.
BikeOdyssey is an 8 days XC (Cross Country) bike race across the Pindos mountain range, in Greece. Is the toughest race in Greece and one of the toughest mountain bike races in the world.
