Over the half of the teams completed the 2nd stage Kalliroi-Pyli. The stage was faster than yesterday since the athletes had to cross 81.52 km with 2,608 m altitude differences. The two predominant teams were also for today the «Old Cranks» of Konstantinidis-Papadopoulos and «Electric Rev by Helma» of Kalogeropoulos-Grivas which passed almost simultaneously from the check points.
Today 20/06/2016, BikeOdysseycontinued dynamically for a second day. Athletes began their adventure in the mountains of Pindos, at 9: 15 am, from Smixi and finished in the mountain village Kalirroi of S. Pindos after crossed with their bikes a distance of 112.82km. This is the first stage of the race and one of the two largest. The path was filled with beautiful landscapes with the important to be the National Park of Valia Calda and the ski resort of Anilio.
The first five teams finished in Kalliroi completing the 1st stage of Bike Odyssey after they rode 112.82 km with 3.219m altitude differences. The team «Old Cranks» managed to keep the lead that had from the second «Electric Rev by Helma» and finished first with time 05: 47: 30: 00. Details ranking until this moment is:
All teams passed from the 1st check point at the 35th km of the route. A flat tire to the team «Old Cranks» of Konstantinidis-Papadopoulos gave the opportunity to «Electric Rev by Helma» team to get ahead. The differences between the first teams remain small. The results are:
Second day of the race and in 9:15 started the 1st stage Smixi-Kalliroi. In the first kilometers of the race all the teams are very close and so far classification is as follows:

Today in Smixi of Grevena started for the 4th consecutive year, one of the toughest races in the world, Bike Odyssey 2016. Dozens of athletes got a first idea of the strong mountain bike experience on Pindos mountain range.
In particular, they raced in the Prologue of the eight-day race the 30 athletes of the 15 teams biking the route of 11.3 km. In this first phase the athletes did not race in groups so the results came out by calculating the average time both of two racers of each team. The team that finished first was the «Old Cranks» consisting of Konstantinos Konstantinidis and Papadopoulos Thomas.
