The race of Bike Odyssey is characterized by the routes of unique beauty spots of the Greek countryside. Between start and finish the athletes encounter rivers, lakes, forests, national forests, taking thus a strong taste of the wild and unparalleled beauty of the country.
The high altitudes of the route bring them near to some of the most famous ski centers, which attract lovers of winter tourism and adventure.

Pertouli, Anilio and Prophet Elias of Metsovo. Three ski centers of idyllic beauty, the approach of which requires the maximum effort of the participants.

Anilio Ski Center

The ski center of Anilio is 7 km away from the homonymous village. It is located at an altitude of 1,790 meters and at the location of Guzel Tepe, which means a beautiful peak. Name that exists since the Ottoman domination.

The route to the ski center passes through a forest overlooking Anilio itself and Metsovo. Its operation began in December 2012 and it is the newest ski center in Greece. Both the beautiful scenery with the unique view and the enchanting route that the visitor crosses to reach this, make Anilio one of the most attractive destinations for skiing, excursions and relaxation.

Pertouli Ski Center

In a natural landscape full of fir trees, 50 km from Trikala and at an altitude of more than 1000 meters, Petrouli is one of the most beautiful villages of Pindos.

Being built amphitheatrically on the mountainside, full of traditional stone houses, picturesque taverns and hostels, it is one of the most popular destinations in the country.
The ski center of Pertouli is located at Livadia spot, at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,340 meters. It is easily accessible and receives thousands of visitors each year. It features slopes for every degree of difficulty, ski schools, a ski shop and a medical center. Its slopes are a total of three, a red one of 1,500 meters, a blue one of 400 meters and a green one of 80 meters, and it has three lifts, one of which is aerial.

Apart from the ski center, Pertouli is suitable to visit all year round, as the area has many activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, and ecotourism offices which organize eco-tours, trips with 4x4 vehicles and rafting.

Prophet Elias Ski Center (Metsovo)

The ski center of Prophet Elias or else Politses is located on the plateau of Politsies of Mavrovouni Mount, next to the chapel of Prophet Elias. Its altitude varies from 1,360 meters to 1,620 meters.
It has been the biggest ski center of Metsovo for many years until ski center of Anilio opened. Until 2005 the ski center operated exclusively during the winter season. Since November 2005, however, it has turned into a park that is open throughout the year...

Each year, thousands of visitors arrive at the ski center either to indulge in activities and sports in the snow (ski, snowboard, ski board, etc.) or, in combination with their visit to the beautiful village of Metsovo, to enjoy their coffee in the snowy scenery.

In addition to the amateurs - visitors who want to experience their skiing abilities, there are many national and prefectural championships every year with the participation of many athletes.
