Heavy rain and a bad weather in general marked today’s stage of the race around the point of the third checkpoint. As long as the athletes approached the last pit stop, they found themselves in severe weather conditions, with intense rainfall, lightning, and even hail.
Today's stage is traditionally one of the largest of Bike Odyssey, however, the heavy rainfall and hail around the point of the third checkpoint, along with the fatigue that the athletes carried for over 60 kilometers of cycling, and the fact that they still had to bike over 30 kilometers of mountain route, created an even greater challenge for the athletes of the race.
All participants, however, showed conviction and patience, and with dynamic appearances they managed to overcome the first major obstacle of this cycling Odyssey.
