In a previous article posted on our website (you can read it once more here), the Guardian recognized Pindus as one of the top five places in Europe to meet a wide variety of wildlife. This is just one of the many things that make the “terrain” of Bike Odyssey a truly special destination.
Greece is advertised around the world for its islands, at least in terms of its natural beauty, but what is not widely known abroad is that it is also a really mountainous country in its largest part, with landscapes of breathtaking natural beauty.
The mountain range of Pindus covers the largest part of not only mountainous Greece but also of the mainland of the country in general, with Bike Odyssey being the one and only event that allows one to explore the continental Greece to the fullest extent, by crossing with the bike through 620 km of untouched natural paths.
Through the route of Bike Odyssey, it is given the opportunity to get in touch with a big part of Greece, to explore it, and to discover well-hidden beauties, landscapes of beauty that surpass every imagination, as well as the history and tradition of many different locations, passing by roughly over 57 villages, towns and settlements.
Through a trail that crosses about 620 km of mountainous country in order to end up to the sea after a nine-days journey, Bike Odyssey is in reality an opportunity like no other for one to explore, discover and be amazed, returning home with memories of a one of a kind adventure.
