One more Bike Odyssey was completed in the picturesque village of Kato Tithorea, offering once again beautiful memories, countless moments, feelings and meetings!

The greek team AVRA of Souvatzoglou Grigoris and Kourbetis Anestis triumphed! The two athletes of the team managed to win out in seven of the nine stages of the 9-Day Race of Bike Odyssey 2019. Their total time came only at 29 hours and 38 minutes leaving the Bikeboard.at team to finish second with a total difference 1,5 hour and third the SCHC Group POLAND with a difference of about 3 hours.

Along with the 9-Day Race, they took place two shorter 4-day races, the 4-day North and the 4-day South Race.

In the 4-day South Open Race, Mountain Bikers team of Vergetopoulos Panos and Karagiannis Elias, with a total time of 13 hours and 12 minutes, managed to win three of the four stages with relative comfort. Even though they were sentenced to 50 minutes penalty it did not deprive them of the overall win and therefore the first place on the podium of the Open category. The Faros Cycling Club team of Lakkotrypi Kyriakos and Loizos Georgios came second with 10 minutes difference from the first and the Kouladia team of Drosos Alexandros and Valavanis Demosthenes came third  with 1,5 hour difference from the first ones. In the UCI category, the two National teams gained the first positions, with Pericles Elias and Antoniadis Dimitris came first, and Molla Amet Ali Oglou Charoun and Tsoroutokidis Elias came second. FUKAYA RACING team of Yuta Matsumoto and Ryo Takeuchi took the third place with almost one hour difference from the first Greek National team.

In the 4-day North Open Race the No Lifers team of Kalampalikis Dimitris and Michaelides Ioannis won the first place with a total time duration of 15 hours and 58 minutes. ACTION BIKE CLUB-SIS team of Voudouris Euripides and Zoumboulis Vasilis came second with 14 minutes difference and the Halkisad team of Dagopoulos Panagiotis and Dusan Turkulov came  third with two hours difference. In the UCI category, the two national teams finished first again, with the first one completing a total duration of 14 hours and 6 minutes and the second  one 14 hours and 32 minutes, thus completing a series of dynamic appearances.

During these nine days, the athletes of the race crossed the largest part of Pindos mountain range, experienced landscapes of unparalleled beauty and made friendships with people from different corners of the planet.

However, Bike Odyssey is a very demanding race with many difficulties and intense weather conditions. The first few days started with rain and hail, and the latter day ended up with a heat wave with the temperature reaching 40 ° C, conditions which in turn caused the departure of some athletes. Most of the participants, however, did not put it down, resisted and gave us strong sports moments in this cycling Odyssey.

The day ended with the athletes' award and the closing ceremony of the event. The participants of the race were rewarded for their effort and for the completion of their Odyssey Cycling! This cycling trial has ended and all of the athletes, organizers, volunteers and all those who have helped in a variety of ways to succeed in this event leave with many memories and beautiful moments.
